LawNet Challenge 2023 in aid of our charity of the year Children With Cancer Fund
On the weekend of 17th June 2023 five intrepid members of the Stephen Rimmer team took on some of the fells and peaks that surround Derwentwater in the Lake District for our chosen Charity of the year Children With Cancer Fund.
The challenge required a good level of fitness as they had to cover various terrains climbing High Spy including steep hillsides and a rugged ridgeline. The team consisting of Chelsea Hamilton, Lara Harriette, Helen Lee, Martina Smith and Grant Sanders manged to finish third out of ten teams setting off, walking for over 7 hours for 20km reaching a peak of 721m elevation with glorious views over the Lake District.
The team set out to raise £500 for our chosen charity but as at June 19th they have managed to raise over £1,000 for a truly remarkable charity.
