Ten Thousand Tins Donation Appeal with More Radio

Over the last few weeks Stephen Rimmer LLP have been collecting tins at their offices in Eastbourne and Hastings. In total we collected more than 100 tins from colleagues and clients towards this very worthy cause.

We have been advising the local community on legal services for nearly 40 years and now more than ever we wanted to help those in need.

According to the Trussell Trust foodbank use in Sussex has increased by over 40% over the last five years and with the current pandemic this is likely to increase further. In Eastbourne its foodbank has provided 845,000 meals since June 2011 through its 170 volunteers. Hastings foodbank opened in 2012 and provided almost 90,000 meals in 2018 alone. More Radio wanted to do something - collect ten thousand tins - and we wanted to help.

No one should have to rely on the services of a food bank but with the added pressure on the economy due to Coronavirus more and more people across Sussex will have to.
